French Border Incident -
After Action Report
The Italians have just crossed the border, and advanced a few kilometres.
The French have initially retired and the Italians have settled down to
consolidate their gains. The following day the French launch a
counterattack, just off table behind the Italians is an important French
border town - the French objective of the counter attack is to break
through and relieve it.
Some of the paint jobs on the figures is a bit rough so there aren't too
many close ups etc, as the troops were in the process of being rebased and
needed some 'washing' and/or dry brushing to bring the detail up better...
As a result we only took a few photos of this game. There are 8 Photos in
this Gallery.
The opening shots -
an initial French probe up the left flank gets hit hard. In the front
an R-35 has bought it, and elements of the leading platoon have been
suppressed. Visible to the rear is a French M1897 75mm from the
Divisional Anti-Tank Company.

Panoramic shot of
the battlefield from behind the French left.

Close up of the
scene in the first photograph - an R-35 has brewed up (hit by fire
from an Italian 65mm Infantry Gun), and the leading French Rifle
Platoon has has some stands suppressed or pinned as they moved into
the open or along the road.

Another Panoramic
view - this time from behind the centre of the Italian positions.
