Respect for Indigenous Peoples:
As the Red Shadow (Ian Croxall) says on his website, any references or comments in our Colonial Section that may be construed as racist, derogatory, or insensitive, are simply the "in character" reflections of the participants from both sides of these struggles at the time; and are provided solely for atmosphere and historical character and in no way do they reflect our opinions or are they intended in a derogatory way. We always retain the highest respect for all races, cultures, and nations of this period, especially the warriors, be they Fuzzy-Wuzzy, Zulu, Pathan, or others, who fought (& died) bravely - often simply for their freedom and/or way of life, and often against a technologically superior enemy.

No I'm not associated with Litko and don't get any benefit from advertising them - I just think they have one of the best ranges of general purpose wargaming products around!

Egyptian Infantry Company on right (the 4th as you can tell by the Yellowy-Orange Company Flag), supported by a Section of Artillery. Behind can be seen the Battalion HQ with the Colonel on horseback, and the Green Battalion Flag (of the 3rd Battalion), plus drummer and such. All figures are Perry's including the Krupp 6pdr Light Gun. The bases of these figures will still have some minor work done to complete them.

Closer shot of some of the fellahin, this time the 3rd Company (denoted by the rather discoloured white flag).

A firing line of both companies, supported by a Krupp 6pdr in the centre, with the battalion HQ behind...

Close up of Battalion HQ, with the mounted Colonel (or Bey), Battalion Senior NCO/Ensign with Standard, Battalion Musician (Drummer), and a fellahin rifleman to guard the standard completes the quartet.

Another view of a firing line from the 3rd Company.

A closer view of the 6pdr gun - one of two that support my 4 companies of Egyptians & Sudanese.

The full firing line - Battalion HQ, 2 Fellahin rifle companies, and a supporting 6pdr artillery gun.
