Fokker DrI Triplane
What WW1 game would be complete without the Red Baron! I've seen a few different colour schemes for the Red Baron but I went with an all red scheme.
This page has some photos of mainly late war German WW1 aircraft from Heroics and Ros. They are a lot
smaller than the WW2 or Modern aircraft and some of them are very fiddly to put together. CnC also
make a range of WW1 aircraft which are meant to be very nice, but I haven't seen those.
The rules we use for WW1 are either Stringbags by A&A Games or C:1918 by Wessex Games. The decals are from
I-94 but a number of them were also painted on. The paint schemes that I used were chose mainly because
they were easy to paint and I avoided aircraft covered completely in the lozenge camouflage. The Jasta 7 was
popular with me because a lot of their aircraft were painted black.

Very nice model from Navwar. Late war monoplane used for reconassiance and bombing.
A very nice model with a bright colour scheme.
One of the later fighters of WW1 and also rated of the best. Painted in the colour scheme of Jasta 7 (because it was easy).
I found this model while for something I could use to scratch build a Zeppelin from. It was very easy to put together and looks right next to 1/300th aircraft. A proper scaled version would be 2-3 times longer and much too big to use on a games table.
Various shots from different angles. I painted this model in an off white colour scheme.I painted it light brown and dry brushed it a variety shades of cream and buff to get the final look.
