These are some ‘in progress’ pictures of my 28mm Perry Miniatures’ North American Buildings – I’m hoping they will be useful for not just the ACW (American Civil War), but also for the American Old West & Indian Wars, some Colonial theatres, and even early 20th Century pulp periods. Included is a simple conversion of the Perry Store kit, into a small Blacksmith & Stables. The conversion and the kit assembly & painting/basing was done by my fellow gamer, Kieran Mahony (6mm Wargaming). I just need to now flock the bases and add all the micro detail…
The Perry Farmhouse has been assembled exactly as per the kit – with the Perry/Renedra picket fencing used to complete the model – as has the first Store model. The second North American Store kit has been converted to a Smithy and/or Stables with some surgery, and the addition of a chimney (for the bellows) and a small corral. The existing door has been widened to the first window to create the large doors, and an extension has been scratch-built on the front (where the second window was) utilising a section of roof cut out from the lean-to on the left side. Finally the original front verandah roof has been attached to the right side, and a small (2 horse) stable scratch-built underneath opening into the small corral.
More ACW Buildings are here…
